3-Day Corporate Fast

We exist to prepare the way of the Lord—in our lives, in our city, and to the ends of the earth.

Our Invitation

We are inviting our church family to a 3-day corporate fast, believing God for fresh encounters, renewed consecration, and spiritual breakthrough in our lives and our city.

We will start the fast Tuesday 01/06 and end it after our corporate prayer on Thursday night 01/08 6:30pm (TRIGGER CHICAGO - our Sunday Venue)

Why We Fast

It's all about Jesus

Fasting is all about Jesus; seeking His face and hungering for more of His Presence and breakthrough in our lives. We fast because we long for deeper intimacy with Jesus and greater sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Fasting positions us to encounter God, aligns our hearts with heaven, and prepares the way for His presence to move among us.

It’s about Consecration

At Kingdom Culture we choose to live set apart, with purity and wholehearted devotion to God, we dedicate our all to Him. Fasting is one of the ways we walk in consecration.

Jesus said this about fasting:

Luke 5:35

“The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days.”

Jesus is the Bridegroom and we desire more of Him. We know that the presence of Jesus changes everything and that fasting is one of the ways we prepare our hearts for more of Him and less of us. Consecration is choosing Jesus above all and when we abstain from food or other comforts it is a declaration that Jesus alone satisfies and sustains us. Fasting is about consecrating our lives by removing things that distract us, helping us focus more on all that He is.

It’s about Transformation

God’s heart for fasting is transformation, not religious performance:

Isaiah 58:6–8

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? 8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn…”

Fasting changes us. It humbles us and has the power to break unhealthy dependencies, breakdown strongholds, and always increases our reliance on God. And in His goodness, God often responds with clarity, breakthrough, freedom, and answered prayer.

How to Pray During the Fast

Fasting shifts our focus from the physical to the spiritual, creating space to be fed by the Word, sustained through prayer, awakened in worship, and shaped as we wait and listen for God’s voice.

Here are some practical ways:

  • Spend intentional time in prayer, worship, and the Word

  • Pray with expectation, believing God desires to encounter you and speak to you

  • Listen as much as you speak—asking the Holy Spirit to search your heart

Let hunger be a reminder to pray. Fasting is not easy—but it is powerful. The Holy Spirit uses fasting to bring transformation that extends beyond our lives, releasing breakthrough in our communities, city, and beyond.

Ways to Participate in the Fast

Choose the fast that best fits your faith, season, and health. What matters most is not the type of fast—but the posture of your heart.

Partial Fast

A partial fast is when you abstain from food during a specific window of the day, such as 6:00am–3:00pm or from sunrise to sunset. During that time, focus on spiritual practices, while eating normally outside the fasting period.

Selective Fast

A selective fast involves removing certain foods or categories of food from your diet, such as sweets, caffeine, or processed foods. During this fast, you can drink water and/or all-natural juices, and it can also be combined with intermittent fasting for added focus on spiritual practices.

Daniel Fast

The Daniel Fast is a biblically inspired fast that focuses on simplicity and devotion. You eat only fruits and vegetables, avoiding meat, sweets, bread, and processed foods, while drinking water and natural juices.

Full (Liquid) Fast

A full liquid fast involves abstaining from all solid food while consuming only water and/or natural juices.

Please consult a doctor if you are considering prolonged fasting or have health concerns.

Soul Fast

A soul fast is a powerful alternative for those unable to fast from food. During this fast, you abstain from media and digital distractions, intentionally replacing that time with prayer, waiting on the Lord, worship, and time in the Word.

We fast with faith. We pray with expectation. We gather believing God will move.

Let’s prepare the way of the Lord—together.
